This is my second year teaching third grade at Mary Williams Elementary.  Previously, I taught kindergarten for four years.  I have a Master's degree in Education from Liberty University.  Prior to working in the education field, I served in the United States Coast Guard.  I was a search and rescue dispatcher for the waterways.  I have lived in Texas, California, and Massachusetts.  I met my husband while in the Coast Guard.  My husband and I are both from Virginia, and we are happy to be living near our family.  We have two sons: Grant is 3 years-old and Jack is 2 years-old.  I am thrilled about getting to know my students this school year.

3rd Grade Teacher

Hello! My name is Amber Warren and I am excited to call Virginia and Mary Williams Elementary my new home! I am from The Great Lakes State and have spent the last two years teaching in AK and MI. While in Alaska, I taught 2nd and 3rd grade. While in Michigan, I was the 3rd grade At Risk Teacher. Prior to that, I worked as a resource room assistant for six years.

I attended Grand Valley State University for my undergraduate studies and received a BA in History. After completing my undergraduate degree, I returned to Grand Valley to pursue teaching and earned my teaching certification. I am currently completing my Masters degree in Instruction and Curriculum at GVSU.

When I am not teaching, my husband, son, and I enjoy spending time with family and friends. We enjoy the outdoors, music, and traveling to new places. We are excited to call VA home and look forward to our new adventures here!

3rd Grade Teacher

This is my sixth year at MWES and my first year teaching third grade. I am so excited to have the opportunity to move up from second grade with this group of third graders!  I attended Christopher Newport University where I got my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and my Master's degree in Elementary Education. This year might look a little different than others but it will still be full of growth and learning opportunities for our students!

3rd Grade Teacher

My name is Pilita Toring and I am excited to be joining my Panther Pride family again this school year! I was born and raised in the Philippines. I am married and have two kids.

I moved in the US in 2011 as a Cultural Exchange teacher at Mary Williams Elementary School for three years and at Dumfries Elementary School for two years. Then, my family decided to relocate to the Eastern Shore in 2016. While in the ES, I taught second and third grade in Accomack County Public School for three years. Before moving to the US, I was an elementary teacher in the Philippines for about ten years.

I am looking forward to a brand-new school year with all of you!
